Well the last day was quite insignificant and brisk compared to the other adventurous ones. Again we debark the boat in the late afternoon. We barter once more and finish off some last minute shopping at the port and then head to the library for some internet as well as just go out once more in the African state of Egypt.
Well besides having a difficult taxi driver, altogether the day was a hassle and could not compare to the ease and fun of the others. It was a relief once we boarded the boat. It was nice to have A.B.A. all together again as we gathered around for our usual dinner. We shared our travels, our stories and found our bearings as we took one final look at the exotic country and waved goodbye.
Sadly, Erik is more obsessed with his appearance than I am. So it has been a continuing joke that we would slam some type of food in his face, yet no one has had the guts to do so until snack time tonight. Yes each night at about 10:30 we have snack time with pastries, sandwiches and other assorted items. Erik had a nice slice of Tiramisu. As he was eating it, the courage to smash it in his face emerged within me. I did it! He was in shock along with the others as the laughter circulated around the table. He rose in silence to go get a napkin to clean off. His silence was the initial warning that something was coming. He is now in the midst of planning revenge. I hate getting messy so Im on high alert as I watch my back for any suspicious movements.
So were having our fun. We are still as amused as we were when we started this journey 7 weeks ago and now it is coming down to the wire. Only one stop left. Only one country left to explore. And only one last port to make memories and have memorable experiences that will last a lifetime. My emotions are elevating as we leave to make our 5 day stretch to the Moroccan land. Im sure classes and event planning will ease my emoting but nevertheless I can definitely feel the reality that this pleasurable cruise will soon come to an end.

Is there a reason to smash a perfectly good Tiramisu in Erik's face? Hope he liked it....
ReplyDeleteWill you be able to see the coast of Africa as you sail the Mediterranean? That'll be a sight!
I love to see how much you spend and the equivalent in our money vs. the country's money. Very interesting!
